Shared Wellness Breaks Ground on New Warrington Wellness Center, Expanding Access to Whole Person Health Resources for All
Warrington, 1/25– Shared Wellness, formerly known as Shard Support South, is proud to announce the groundbreaking of its newly renovated wellness center in Warrington. This transformation, along with a recent name change, signals the organization’s deepened commitment to whole person well-being for every member of the community.
A New Name, A Renewed Mission
The shift from Shard Support South to Shared Wellness reflects a broader vision: to serve not only people with disabilities but the entire community. By embracing a more inclusive identity, Shared Wellness aims to strengthen its network of care and empower individuals to prioritize self-care, resilience, and personal growth.
Enhanced Facilities and Inclusive Services
The renovated Warrington wellness center will provide a wide range of services designed to support overall health, including yoga, breathwork, meditation, and social opportunities. These offerings form part of a robust support system for individuals with disabilities, while also extending far beyond—creating a welcoming space for everyone. Recognizing the diverse financial needs of the community, Shared Wellness will offer sliding-scale and free memberships to ensure that no one is turned away due to cost.
Key facility features and resources include:
Whole Person Wellness Programs: Yoga, breathwork, and meditation classes offered in fully accessible studios.
Flexible Social Spaces: Inviting common areas designed for gatherings, peer support, and community-building activities.
Professional Guidance: On-site access to health and wellness professionals who provide coaching, workshops, and personalized plans.
Commentary from Leadership
“Our new name and center represent a renewed focus on providing equal opportunities for wellness, regardless of a person’s background, ability, or income,” said Christine Martinat Shared Wellness. “We believe that everyone has the right to cultivate their own well-being, and this center will stand as a testament to our commitment to a more inclusive, healthier community.”
Welcoming the Entire Community
This investment in the Warrington facility underscores Shared Wellness’s dedication to serving individuals with disabilities while simultaneously broadening its reach. By offering a range of programs and services on a sliding scale—or free, when needed—the center aims to become a cornerstone of community health and well-being.
Grand Opening and Future Initiatives
The renovations are expected to be completed by June 2025, with a grand opening celebration planned to introduce the new space and expanded offerings to the public. Additional community partnerships, educational programs, and events will be announced in the coming months to further strengthen the region’s collective well-being.
