Through sliding scale fees, scholarship programs, and community partnerships, we ensure that everyone can access quality wellness services.

Community Participation

  • We believe in the transformative power of creativity and the joy of passing on skills to others. Our crafting workshops provide individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to learn new crafts and develop their artistic talents in a welcoming and inclusive environment. But the journey doesn’t end there. Once our participants have mastered their craft, they become leaders themselves, sharing their knowledge and expertise with seniors in local living facilities. These intergenerational interactions are not only enriching for the seniors but also empowering for our participants, as they step into the role of mentors and helpers. By providing experiences where those we support can become helpers, we foster a sense of purpose, confidence, and connection within our community.   • Our cooking sessions bring individuals together to hone culinary skills in a supportive environment. From mastering mixing to using the stove with confidence, everyone contributes uniquely. We create delicious dishes that warm hearts and nourish bodies. What’s more, we share our creations with those in need, delivering meals to individuals experiencing homelessness. Join us, where cooking is more than a skill—it’s an act of connection and generosity.

  • In a collective effort to spread kindness and support, volunteers at Shared Support South come together to create bags for those experiencing homelessness. These bags aren’t just practical; they’re adorned with uplifting messages, spreading hope and positivity. After decorating and packing them with essentials, volunteers take to the streets of Norristown, distributing these thoughtful gifts to as many individuals in need as possible. It’s a simple gesture with a profound impact, reminding each recipient that they are seen, valued, and cared for. Meet Hilary, who infuses her love for yoga with a Disney twist, spreading joy and wellness through her unique approach to practice. Then there’s Ralph, on a mission to make sign language accessible to all, teaching others the beauty of communication through signing. And let’s not forget Justin, a dedicated advocate who runs our advocacy hub, tackling important topics like politics, upcoming laws, and voter engagement with passion and determination. At Shared Support South, we empower individuals to become leaders in their own right, fostering a culture of learning, sharing, and advocacy for all.

  • Each week, we venture to new locations, providing individuals with the chance to discover the richness of their own neighborhoods. Through these outings, participants uncover areas of personal interest, forge new connections, and ultimately, uncover a wealth of opportunities within the community.   • Shared Rocks is a unique program where individuals with intellectual disabilities express their creativity by painting rocks and spreading joy throughout the community. After painting their masterpieces, participants hide the rocks in various locations, igniting a treasure hunt for community members. We keep track of the impact through the 'Lansdale Rocks' Facebook group, where people share their stories of finding these hidden gems. Shared Rocks not only fosters creativity but also strengthens community connections in an engaging and inclusive way. Join us in spreading smiles, one painted rock at a time.

  • Introducing the Community Lending Library at Shared Support South! It's not just about borrowing items; it's about igniting creativity and sparking new ideas. Borrow tools like flower presses, disc golf discs, Tablets pre-loaded with geocaches, or mindfulness cards to ignite your curiosity and explore fresh perspectives. With something for everyone, our library is where inspiration meets community. Join us in discovering the possibilities at Shared Support South's Community Lending Library.

  • Safe Circles prioritizes learning about boundaries and fostering healthy interactions within the community.   • Hatha Vinyasa Yoga 

    Hatha Vinyasa Yoga combines the static postures of Hatha Yoga with the fluid, breath-synchronized movements of Vinyasa.     Yoga Nidra or "yogic sleep"
